Hello-
I am writing to voice my opinion on Bill 108. i am writing from the side of someone who
benefits from the use of short term rental. We recently spent 2 weeks on the big island, getting
married in Volcano. If it were not for time shares and Airbnb,we would not have been able to
experience all the wonderful things we did. We would probably not come back to the Islands
if this were not an option to us. Another thing to think about is that if you are using this Bill to
make more housing available, I may not work out like planned. Think about all the timeshares
that are considered short term rentals. How could these places be converted into housing
options? You are talking about places like the Royal Kona Inn. How would these type of
places be available for long term residents?Please reconsider the passing of this bill.
