To Whom It May Concern,
We stayed at an Airbnb in Leilani Estates in February 2018,three months before the eruption. Our experience
connected us to the land and people of Puna.We dined in Pahoa and went to the Makuu Farmers Market.We feel
we wouldn't have had that connection if we hadn't the opportunity to stay in Leilani Estates.
We typically visit Maui yearly,but now that we visited the Big Island we have an affinity for it and want to return
again.We envision staying in the same area.We appreciate the quiet,natural setting.Waking up and hearing our
neighbor playing the ukulele and singing is a memory we will treasure.It suited us in a way that staying at a hotel
wouldn't have.
We hope you take our thoughts into consideration.
