Resolution No. 326
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR THE HILO MUNICIPAL
GOLF COURSE ADDITION, WAIAKEA, SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE
OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
I.
That it is necessary, for the public use and purpose,
to wit: parks and recreation purposes, including expansion
of the Hilo Municipal Golf Course, to take, acquire and
condemn the land hereinafter described and to that end and
for the purposes the Corporation Counsel of the County of
Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to
initiate proceedings in eminent domain, as provided by law,
for the taking, acquisition and condemnation of the land
hereafter described as follows:
All of Lot 807-A, Grant 8907 to Margaret Kennedy
and all of Grant 12,422 (abandoned Railroad Right -of -
Way, over and across Lot 807-A) to Hiroshi Ando, Shige
Hirano, Takashi Kinoshita and Hanako Matsumura, Waiakea
Homesteads, lst Series, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii.
Beginning at a pipe set on the southeast corner
of this lot and on the north side of Haihai Street,
the coordinates of said point of beginning referred to
Government Survey Triangulation Station "HALAI" being
15,515.10 feet South and 6,530.80 feet East thence
running by azimuths measured clockwise from True South:
1« 850 40' 484.00 feet along the north side of
Haihai Street, to a pipe;
2. 1750 40' 1840.00 feet along Iwalani Heights
Subdivision;
3. 2650 40' 484.00 feet along Hilo Municipal Golf
Course (Executive Order 1223);
4. 3550 40' 1840.00 feet along Hilo Municipal Golf
Course (Executive Order 1223)
to the point of beginning
and containing an area of
890,560 square feet or
20.44 acres.

That, in the process of said proceedings in eminent
domain, said Corporation Counsel be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to negotiate terms of settleme�
subject to the approval of this Council and of the court
before which such proceedings are prosecuted.
