HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 327 Draft 01 1969-1972RESOLUTION NO. 3P7 WHEREAS, GEORGE MARTIN was born at Laupahoehoe and educated on the Big Island of Hawaii; and WHEREAS,, GEORGE MARTIN has been prominent in the labor movement on the Fig Island for nearly two decades; and WHEREAS, in addition to his many union duties GEORGE FARTIN has served in a number of community ventures further enhancing and promoting the welfare of the people of the County of Hawaii; and WHERE226, GEORGE MARTIN has been appointed International Vice President of the International Longshoremen and Warehousemen's Union, NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it commends GEORGE MARTIN on his appointment as International Vice President of the ILWU and for his many contributions to the people of the Big Island of Hawaii. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk forward a true copy of this resolution to GEORGE MARTIN, Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this loth day of March, 1971. ...........
