County of Hawaii—State of Hawaii
Resolution No. 342
WHEREAS, subsection (b) of Section 359G-4 of
the Hawaii Revised Statutes provides that any rule
and regulation promulgated thereunder shall, before
becoming effective, be presented to the legislative
body of each county in which they will be effective
and that such legislative body of each county may
within 45 days approve or disapprove, for its county,
any or all of the rules and regulations by a majority
vote of its members; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Housing Authority of the
Department of Social Services and Housing of the State
of Hawaii has declared that it has promulgated, in
accordance with Chapter 91 of the Hawaii Revised
Statutes, rules and regulations pursuant to subsection
(b) of Section 359G-4 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes
implementing Act 105, Session Laws of Hawaii, 1970, and
has submitted the same to the Council of the County
of Hawaii for approval thereof, a copy of which rules
and regulations is on file with the County Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii has
reviewed and examined the said rules and regulations;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County of
Hawaii that the rules and regulations implementing
Act 105, Session Laws of Hawaii, 1970, a copy of which
is on file with the County Clerk and by reference made
a part hereof, as submitted by the Hawaii Housing
Authority of the Department of Social Services and
Housing of the State of Hawaii, be and are hereby
approve for the County of Hawaii; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the
County of Hawaii that the Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to
Sidney W. Cook, chairman of the Hawaii Housing
Authority, and Yoshio Yanagawa, executive director
of the Hawaii Housing Authority.
