Resolution No.
WHEREAS, the roadway located between parcels 17 and 94, Tax Map Key
7-7-08 (Being a portion of the Old Government (Kailua-Keauhou) BEACH ROAD
in Pahoehoe 4th, North Kona, Hawaii) has not been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, said roadway is no longer of any use to the County of Hawaii;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the roadway located between parcels 17 and 94, Tax Map Key 7-7-08, as
described below, be and is hereby declared abandoned as a roadway.
OLD GOVERNMENT (Kailua-Keauhou) BEACH ROAD
Being a portion of Grant 2034 to Kaupehe, Pahoehoe 4th
North Kona, Hawaii. Between Lot 1-A and Lot 2-A of
Land Court Application 1781 (Amended) Map 1
Description of Abandon Road
Beginning at a pipe set on the southwest corner of this lot, the
coordinates of said point of beginning referred to Government Survey Triangu-
lation Station "KAHELO" being 9611.85 feet South and 4783.21 feet East thence
running by azimuths measured clockwise from True South:
1. 1590 171 72.55 feet along Lot 2-A of Land Court Application 1781
(amended) to a pipe;
2. 1550 021 152.07 feet along Lot -2-A of Land Court Application 1781
(amended), to a pipe;
3. 2560 301 23.14 feet along remainder of Old Government Road, to a pipe;
4. 3350 021 148.30 feet along Lot 1-A of Land Court Application 1781
(amended), to a pipe;
5. 3390 171 78.60 feet along Lot 1-A of Land Court Application 1781
(amended), to a pipe;
6. 820 121 23.27 feet along remainder of Old Government Road to the point
of beginning and containing an area of 5,378 square
feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Land and Natural Resources,
State of Hawaii, and to the Department of Public Works of the County of Hawaii.
