Resolution
WHEREAS, the State Department of Land and Natural Resources,
Department of Transportation, presently has a 0.973 acre baseyard
site at Keauhou 1, North Kona, Hawaii, which is held under
Governor's Executive Order No. 2261; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has great need of this site for
use as a playground facility for the Kona area; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Land and Natural Resources,
Department of Transportation, is willing to relinquish this site
to the County of Hawaii for playground purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it does respectfully request the Honorable John A. Burns,
Governor of the State of Hawaii, to transfer to the County of Hawaii
by Executive Order for park purposes that parcel comprising an area
of 0.973 acre, more or less, presently used as a baseyard site at
Keauhou 1, North Kona, Hawaii, and held under Governor's Executive
Order No. 2261.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
transmitted to the Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State
of Hawaii, and to the State Board of Land and Natural Resources.
