WHE'RI'�AS, the State Executive Board of the United. Public Workers
will be honoring past presidents of the UPW this month; and
WHEREAS., TOM NODA, who sued as president of the United Public
Workers in 19481 19,9, 1950 and from 1963 through 1967, has displayed
outstanding loyalty and dedi*ation to dusty in all of his activities;
and
MiMMS j MR. NODA has always been willing and able to assist all
members of the UPW in their various fuanctiona; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it congratulate ISR* TOM NADA for his outstanding service
to the United Public Workers as past president of the UFW; and
BE IT FU LTHER RESOLVED that the County Clark be and he is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to ISR. TOIL NODA
