HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 385 Draft 01 1969-1972RESOLUTION NO. i WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO, first string rightfielder on the Big Island Press Club's softball team (and the greatest rightfielder in that club's history) has decided to seek greater heights and personal glory in the softball leagues of San Diego, California; and WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO plays rightfield because his coach feels that he would do the least harm to his team there; and WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO is one of the most feared and most potent batters on the Press Club lineup, and also one of the fastest runners, speeding around the bases on wings of lightning; and WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO was the huskiest and certainly the strongest substitute anchorman on the Big Island Press Club's tug-of-war team, but was demoted to No. 2 anchorman after his dieting sapped his strength; and WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO is one of the friendliest, nicest, honest, and straightforward fellows we know, our information coming directly from Bill himself; and WHEREAS, BILL's departure will be sorely missed by members of the Council who seek a companion for 'oko lehao'; and WHEREAS, BILL ARBALLO, as a good Republican, recognized and respected the fact that there are :democrats around almost as good; and WHEREAS, Hilo's loss will be Solana Beach and Del Mar's gain; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it convey its sincere best wishes and aloha to BILL ARBALLO, MPA news reporter and UPI representative, on his new career with Lomas Santa Fe in Solana Beach, California; and Res'p Z l� . ��'0. - ...- Ffle Nr), JU L 1 4 19 71_ D_t i e: ............................................
