HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 395 Draft 01 1969-197200 County of HawaiimmState of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, the people of Hawaii County, as well as the people of all Hawaii, are experiencing the adverse effects of the West Coast dock strike; and WHEREAS, continued prolongation of the strike will cause untold hardships, losses, and general economic deterioration among the people and businesses throughout Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the people of this County desire that President Nixon use the powers and influence of his office to bring the West Coast dock strike to a speedy end; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County of Hawaii that President Nixon be and is hereby requested to use the powers and influence of his office to bring the West Coast dock strike to a speedy end; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this Resolution be transmitted to President Nixon, Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 25th day of August, 1971, CHAIRMAN, COUNTY CO -i COUNTY COUNCIL County of Hawaii Hilo, Hawaii A -E.N, COUNTY OF HAWAII I hereby certify that the foregoing RESOLUTION was by the vote indicated to the right hereof adopted by the COUNCIL of the County of Hawaii on.
