WHEREAS, the people of the County of Hawaii and the
state of Hawaii have suffered a tremendous loss by the passing
of Dr. Francis F. C. ;tong of the City of Hilo; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Francis F. C. Wong dedicated his life
unselfishly helping the people of Hilo and the County of
Hawaii in his practice of medicine and the promotion, growth
and development of amateur athletics on the Island of Hawaii;
and
ViHEREAS, all who knew him or have felt his influence
readily acknowledge his humanitarian spirit towards the well
being of his fellow man; and
WHEREAS, "greater love hath no man than to lay down his
life for a friend" exemplifies the character, love and way of
life of this great humanitarian;
N019 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COI NCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it conveys, on behalf of the people of
the County of Hawaii, its deepest sympathy and condolences to
Mrs, Frances Wong and the family of the late Dr. Francis F. C.

BE IT FURITHIM RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is
hereby instructed to transmit a true copy of this Resolution
to Mfrs. Frances long.
