HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 408 Draft 01 1969-1972i 40S RESOLUTION T V,'VIEREAS, SHIGETU (iROGGIE) YONEDA of the City of Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, has, for numerous years, been actively and unselfishly engaged in the promotion, growth and development of amateur athletics on the Island of Hawaii; and VIUMEREAS, his athletic wizardry as a gridiron coach with creative imagination and uncanny foresight was evidenced by his teams of champions; and WHEREA'Dq all who know him or who have felt his influence readily acknowledge and applaud his humanitarian spirit and the many personal sacrifices he has made for and on behalf of scores of Big Island athletes and the citizenry at large; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to SHIGETO (FR0G3GIE) YONEDA its warmest "P" -Ahs 1"1o" -'For the many worthwhile and enduring contributions lie has made toward the bettermei-it of our Big Island way of life; and BE !'f FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to SHIGETO (FROGGIE) YONEDA as evidence of the County Council's deep appreciation and respect for his unceasing devotion and sensitivity to the human needs of our island communit,,,r.. and that it further extends to him its warmest best taishiesfor fult,.-ure oroductivilty and happiness.
