RELATING TO THE WIDENING AND PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT OF KALOKO MAUKA
SUBDIVISION ROAD IN KALOKO, DISTRICT OF NORTH KONA, HAWAII,'AS
HERETOFORE PROPOSED UNDER PETITION DATED SEPTEMBER 14, 19719 AND
FILED WITH THE COUNTY CLERK ON SEPTEMBER 14, 19719 AND PROVIDING FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING.

WHEREAS, by petition dated September 14, 1971, and filed with the
County Clerk on September 14, 1971, (Comm. No. 1602) the owners of the
Kaloko Mauka Subdivision has petitioned this Council for improvements
consisting of a road system, a local water system and a street lighting

system at certain land situated at Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii, the cost
to be borne by the property owners all pursuant to the provisions of
Section 3.3 of Ordinance No. 350, as amended; and
WHEREAS, in said Petition the Petitioners alleges that they are
the owners of not less sixty per cent (60%) of the entire assessable
area within the proposed improvement district; and
WHEREAS, said Petition shows the necessary preliminary scope of work,

map and other data, details and preliminary specifications for the proposed
improvements, together with estimates of the probable cost thereof, and
shows a description and an estimate of the share of the cost of the improvement
against the property subject to assessment therefore; and
WHEREAS, the said Petition has now been further and fully considered by
the Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County of Hawaii
as follows:
That the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Works be and is
hereby directed to investigate and report to the Council preliminary data
concerning the necessity, feasibility, and method desirable for the afore-
mentioned road, water and street light improvements in Kaloko, District of
North Kona, County and State of Hawaii; and to include in his preliminary
report all such data, survey, maps, plans, drawings, details, specifications
for the improvements and any other matters or details intended to apply
thereto in accordance with the provisions of Section 3.1 of Ordinance No. 350,
as amended.
That the County Clerk be directed to forthwith furnish the Petitioners
and said Chief Engineer with a copy of this resolution.
