Re: Operating Budget
In the current Budget Ordinance 18-68, $88,634 is appropriated in the Finance Department's
Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division's Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Program OCE
account. Additional state funds in the amount of$1,759 are being provided by the State of
Ilawai`i Department of Transportation.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these
additional funds into the Finance Department's Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division's
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Program OCE account, bringing the total appropriation to
$90,393.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The State Department of Transportation is amending FY 2019 Hawaii County Commercial DRiver License
(CDL) budget to accommodate Mr. Jerome Marks' Travel to Honolulu to instruct a CDL Examiner class on
November 26-28, 2018 and a November 23, 2018 trip to Honolulu for Mr. Marks to get acquainted with the
off-road course and the two road test routes.
Current Appropriation: $88,364.00
Total Grant Funds: $90,123.00
