Aloha! My name is Tanya Power and I am a citizen of Hawaii County living in Kailua Kona. I
know a lot of people have put a lot of time into this Bill and I would like to thank all those people
that put so much time and energy into this.
I am here to advocate FOR the passing of Bill 108 since the condos in RM zoning were made
exempt from Bill 108. Condominiums are already self-governing and should not be tied to this
legislation.
I would like\to offer my time and energy as a local real estate professional to work with the
County Council and Planning Dept to institute Rules and Regulations that make sense for Bill •
108.
If affordable housing is a goal for this administration, again, I would like to brain trust real ideas
that may help that situation. Reinstating zoning and permits allowing for ohana building will
keep families together, provide more housing=affordable because you already have the land,
and make living in Hawaii a reality. Working with the State to release some lands for housing
and many other ideas are available for discussion. Thank you for seeing that Bill 108 was not the
place to legislate affordable housing.
Thank you again for your time and service!
Warmest aloha,
Tanya T. Power
