Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Paula Thomas of Council District 2 to the Liquor
Commission.
Ms. Thomas is a small business owner and is the Communications Director of Delphi
Pacific Communication, a public relations company. She is also a yoga/health
instructor at UH Hilo and Hilo Medical Center and previously worked as Director of
Development for the University of Hawai'i at Hilo.
Ms. Thomas holds a BA in English and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania
and a M.Ed. from Temple University. She is active in our community and has been
involved with the Hawai'i Island Chamber of Commerce, UH Chancellor's Advisory
Board, Zonta Club, and more.
Ms. Thomas is a member of the Democratic Party and if confirmed, she will served a 5
year term to end 12/31/2023.
