Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
In accordance with the County Charter§13-4 (c), I am pleased to submit Jon Olson of
council district 4 for reappointment to the Environmental Management Commission.
The previous Council term confirmed Mr. Olson on May 3, 2017 and he is now eligible
to serve a full term that would expire on December 31, 2023.
According to the committee report filed from Mr. Olson's original appointment, council
members "spoke overwhelmingly in support” of his nomination. He is retired from
business in the building, repair and sales of small boats and recreational vessels. Mr.
Olson also remains active in the community with numerous organizations such as the
Sierra Club.
