HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 027 Draft 01 2018-2020 COUNTY OF HAWAII = % • STATE OF HAWAII s =R:.�_ :_ • •'�j.4 w.vso OFHr� RESOLUTION NO. 27 19 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A FIVE (5) YEAR, MULTI-YEAR S AGREEMENT WITH ECONOLITE SYSTEMS WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, this agreement is for continued software support and annual upgrades of the current Centracs Advanced Traffic Management System being used by the Department of Public Works' Traffic Division; and WHEREAS, a multi-year agreement results in a cost savings of approximately 19% relative to the single-year rate; and WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year, multi-year subscription agreement with Econolite Systems for software maintenance and upgrades as indicated above; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year subscription agreement and that sufficient funds will be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmits copies of this resolution to the Mayor's Office, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Public Works.
