Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter requires that
any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of
funds from appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11 empowers the Hawaii Island
Humane Society to seize, impound, and dispose of strays; and
to receive payment for services under an agreement with the
County;
WHEREAS, it is desired that such agreement be
automatically renewable each year, provided that the Council
appropriates funds for this purpose;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an annually
renewable service agreement with the Hawaii Island Humane
Society be authorized and that funds be provided pursuant to
Section 6 of Ordinance No. 11.
