Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter requires that any
contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of
funds from appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has received Federal
highway safety funds in the amount of $5,378 for the first
year of a three-year project to improve traffic records entry
and retrieval capability; and
WHEREAS, the project term begins March 1, 1974 and
terminates February 28, 1977, and the County's cash contribu-
tion will be only $420.00 out of the total project cost of
$52, 682.84; and
WHEREAS, it would be to the advantage of the County to
lease equipment over this three-year period;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Police Department
be authorized to lease necessary equipment for this project
on a lease agreement extending over a three-year period.
