WHEREAS, the Silver Beaver is the highest award
presented by the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America,
for outstanding volunteer Scouters; and
WHEREAS, the Aloha Council at its recognition dinner
held in Honolulu on February 21, 1974, honored MR. HIROYUKI
TOYOTA, communications supervisor of Hawaiian Telephone
as recipient of the Silver Beaver Award; and
WHEREAS, MR. HIROYUKI TOYOTA, Scoutmaster of Troop 42
for the past 10 years, has taken active roles in conducting
Roundtables, Junior Leader Training courses, and organization
of an Explorer Post; and
WHEREAS, MR. HIROYUKI TOYOTA, has previously been
honored with Scouters Key and District Award of Merit;
and
WHEREAS, MR. HIROYUKI TOYOTA, in community affairs
has participated in the Puna Hongwanji, Mt. View PTA,
Veterans Club, Cane Planters Association, and served as
Chairman of Services of HUI United Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to MR. HIROYUKI TOYOTA
its congratulations on being selected recipient of the
Silver Beaver Award.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED., that the County Clerk be and
is hereby directed to forward a true copy of this resolution
to MR. HIROYUKI TOYOTA as testimony of appreciation for
services to the Boy Scouts of America.
