HL FAS, "Hawaii Five -On starring Jack Lord, has recently
launched its .seventh season with the CBS Television Network; and
WHERREAS, selected as locations for the first two episodes
of the new season are the Hawaii Volcanoes National Parr and
the beautiful ranch lands of Waimea, both on the Island of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, it is gratifying and refreshing to realize that
the many attributers of the neighbor islands and more particularly
the Big Island are being recognized for portrayals of the true
Hawaii; and
WHETS, the people of the Big Island wish to extend to
Jack Lord and the cast of the Hawaii Five -O series their warmest
Aloha to our island,
NOW, THEREFOREt BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it takes this means to express its
appreciation to Jack Lora, CBS and the producers of Hawaii Five -0
for selecting the Big Island to launch their seventh season and
for presenting to the world the natural beauty and affection of
the maple of Hawaii, thereby stimulating the attraction of
Hawaii as a resort area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of
Hawaii extends to Jack Lord, Perry Lafferty of CBS and the
producers of the Hawaii Five --O series its full cooperation in
any future filming of the Big Island
BZ IT FURTHLR RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of
this resolution to the following individuals of the Hawaii Five -O
series: Jack Lord; Perry Lafferty, Executive Vice President
of Production for CBS; William Sinnegan, Producer;
Bernard Oseransky, Production Manager; and to the cast
and members of Hawaii Five -o, and to extend to them the
County's warmest Aloha to our island.
