WHEREAS, members of the judiciary must be individuals
with an innate sense of fairness, justice and patience to
all who are unfortunate to appear before the bench; and
WHEREAS, the very essence of maintaining the established
standards of our judiciary requires individuals who are free
of political and other external influencing factors # and
WHEREAS, members of the judiciary must consist of
individuals who are knowledgeable of the law through years of
practice and who will maintain the dignity of the court and
the respect of individuals who practice before the bench; and
WHEREAS, the appointment of ROBERT T. ITO by the Chief
Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii reflects
the impeccable qualities and devotion to serve: his fellow -men
by ROBERT T, ITO ,
NOW l THEREFORE, BE 1T RE -SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to JUDGE ROBERT T. ITCH its
warmest congratulations for being appointed to the District
Court of the County and Stat; of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
resolution to JUDGE ROBERT T. ITO.
