NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of
May 8, 1975, approved the following names for certain unnamed
roadways in the County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii:
Pahala Village, 9th Series, Subdivision, Pahala, Ka'u, Hawaii
Ohia Street - (extension of existing street)
Pakalana Street - (extension of existing street)
Holei Street - meaning a small native tree
'Iliau Street - meaning an endemic woody plant
related to the silversword
Kaumahana Street - meaning native mistletoes
Keahi Street - meaning a small native tree with
milky sap and oblong alternate
leaves
Koali Street - meaning some kinds of morning-glory
(vines)
Koki'o Street - meaning a native shrubby hibiscus
with red flowers
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the said roadways located in the County of Hawaii,
State of Hawaii, be named as follows:
Pahala Village, 9th Series, Subdivision, Pahala, Ka'u, Hawaii
(delineated on map attached hereto as "Exhibit A' and
made a part hereof)
Ohia Street - (extension of existing street)
Pakalana Street - (extension of existing street)
Holei Street - meaning a small native tree
'Iliau Street - meaning an endemic woody plant
related to the silversword
