SUBJECT: Request for a discussion on the implementation of Bill 108, AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE 1, ARTICLE 2, ARTICLE 4, AND
ARTICLE 5, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS
AMENDED), RELATING TO SHORT-TERM VACATION RENTALS.
By means of this communication I am requesting that the Planning Department Director and/or
their designee(s)provide an update regarding the implementation of Bill 108, set to take effect
on April 1, 2019. I anticipate that this discussion would last no more than 30 minutes.
Please place this item on the agenda of the Planning Committee on January 22, 2019.
