Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Thomas "Tom" Brown of Council District 3 to the Police
Commission. Mr. Brown retired from the County of Hawai'i's Mass Transit Agency in
2012.
Mr. Brown hold a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo
and has been a resident of Hawai'i for approximately 45 years. He is active in our
island community and has served as member and pastpresident of Hilo Downtown .
Association, Rotary Club of Hilo, and the Mauna Loa Homeowners Association.
Mr. Brown states he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a
vacant term ending December 31, 2022.
