Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Several donations from private sources have been given to the County for disaster relief
from the 2018 lava flow. These donations are as follows:
Source Amount
• Puna Geothermal Venture $150,000.00
• Tokyoto Oshimamachi 18,274.22
• Saishoin Temple 2,000.00
• Sister City Mayor Inoue 80.44
$170,354.66
Enclosed is a resolution to accept these donations. Also enclosed is a bill for an
ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these funds into the County's
2018 Lava Disaster Relief—Private account.

A. REQUEST:
Request Council approval to accept and acknowledge donations totalling $170,354.66 from the various
organziations listed below and add them to revenue 010.3607.00 "Contribution from Priv Source" and
appropriate such funds to 010.911.5913.46 "2018 Lava Disaster Relief- Private".
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):.
This donation is intended to help offset the costs incurred relating to the 2018 Lava Disaster in the lower
Puna region. Donations were received as noted below:
Puna Geothermal Venture $150,000.00
Tokyoto Oshimamachi $18,274.22
Saishoin Temple $2,000.00
Sister City Mayor Inoue $80.44
