RESOLUTION M.
WHEREAS, United Airlines provides daily flights from
Hilo to both gateways on the west coast; and
WFEREAS, United Airlines provides the majority of the
freighter service to Hilo; and
WHEMEAS.. United Airlines throughout the years has
wholeheartedly committed itself to rilaintaining and increasing
services to Hilo; and
WUEREAS, United Airlines has provided erployment for
the people of the Big Island; and
I'VIKEREAS, United Airlines has unselfishly contributed to
the Hawaii Island Visitors Industry Association,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to United Airlines its
warmest "mahalo' for innumerable worthwhile and enduring
contributions United Airlines has made to the economy of the
Big Island.
Blr' IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of
this resolution to EDWARD E. CARLSON, President and Chief
Executive Officer of United Airlines, as evidence of the
County Council's deep appreciation and respect for United
Airlines' contributions to the development of the Big Island.
