WHEREAS, the Honorable BRUCE McCALL served with great
dedication and skill as Managing Director of the County of
Hawaii under former Mayor Shunichi Kimura, and in May, 1974,
donned the mantle of Mayor himself; and
WHEREAS, as Mayor, BRUCE McCALL continued to apply his
versatile, executive talents toward efficient government of
the highest integrity and for the greatest good; and
WHEREAS, Mayor BRUCE f4cCALL entered public service with
no thought of personal gain or glory but with what today is
a rare motive: simply to serve and in doing so, setting aside
his own career at C. Rrewer; and
WHEREAS, Mayor BRUCE McCALL has never departed from his
warm, gracious, and unassuming manner to respond to all who
have looked to him for help and guidance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THF
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends to Mayor BRUCE McCALL a
heartfelt "Mahalo" to express its deep appreciation for his
medicated service to all the people of the Big Island,, and
that it further extends to him its warmest best wishes for
continued success, happiness, and fulfillment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be instructed
to forward a true copy of this resolution to lk�ayor BRUCE McCALL.
