TMEREAS, in the sport of cross-country racing, Nolan
Gonsalves, a senior at Honokaa High School,, captured the top
individual honors in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation
and State High School meets; and
10EREAS, throughout the season, Nolan Gonsalves emerged
victorious in all five local meets.: and
VRIEREAS, in the State finals at Waiehu, Maui, Nolan
Gonsalves outpaced all runners over a 2.5 mile course with a
winning time of 13:34.2 minutes; and
WHEREAS, Nolan Gonsalves is the son of Mr, & Mrs. Robert
Gonsalves of Honokaa and the twin brother of Nathan Gonsalves
who is also an outstanding harrier*
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it takes this means to congratulate
Nolan Gonsalves on winning the boys' division of the State High
School cross-country meet and successfully representing the
Big Island,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
resolution� Nolan Gonsalves.
