Resolution No. 32A,
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR A PUBLIC PARK, KAHAUKO, DISTRICT
OF SOUTH KONA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HATATAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
I.
That it is necessary, for the public use and purpose, to wit: public
park and recreation purposes situate at Kahauko, District of South Kona,
County and State of Hawaii, to take, acquire, and condemn certain lands with
all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, in fee simple
absolute, free and clear of all liens, encumbrances, hereinafter described
and to that end and for these purposes the Corporation Counsel of the County
of Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to initiate proceed-
ings in eminent domain, as provided by law, for the taking, acquisition and
condemnation of the lands described as follows:
1. All of that certain parcel of land, being L.C.A. 7026, R.P. 6729 to
Kaikaina, situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Island and County of Hawaii, State
of Hawaii, containing an area of. 0.13 acre, more or less, and commonly desig-
nated as portion of Tax Map Key 8-6-13:23.
2. All of that certain parcel of land, being a portion of Apana 1 of
L.C.A. 3480, R.P. 6198 to Kauwe, situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Island and
County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii, containing an area of 0.16 acre, more of
less, and commonly designated as portion of Tax Map Key 8-6-13:23.
3. All of that certain parcel of land, being Apana 1 of L.C.A. 11178,
R.P. 5223 to Kaanaana., situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Island and County of
Hawaii, State of Hawaii, containing an area of 0.11 acre, more or less, and
commonly designated by Tax Map Key 8-6-13:24.
4. All of that certain parcel of land, being all of Royal Patent Grant
No. 1859 to Haaheo, situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Islam and County of
Hawaii, State of Hawaii, containing an area of 0.07 acre, more or less, and
commonly designated by Tax Map Key 8-16-13:25.
5. All. of that certain parcel of land, being Royal Patent Grant No.
1860 to Kaanaana, situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Island and County of
Hawaii, State of Hawaii, containing an area of 0.35 acre, more or less,
and commonly designated as portion. of Tax Map Key 8-6-13:30.
6. All of that certain parcel of land, being Apana 1 of. L.C.A. 7594,
R.P. 7080 to Kaheina, situate at Kahauko, South Kona, Island and County of
Hawaii, State of Hawaii, containing an area of 0.30 acre, more or less,
and commonly designated as portion of Tax Map Key 8-6-13:30.
II.
That in the process of said proceedings in eminent domain, said Corpo-
ration Counsel be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate
terms of settlement, subject to the approval of this Council and of the Court
before which such proceedings are prosecuted..
