Dear Representative,
I am writing in support of the reopening of HWY 132. I am a landowner, TMK below, who
built my house &raised my family on this land. I have lived here for 40 years and consider
myself blessed to be a resident of Kapoho.
With this lava erruption, I have been displaced, as one of the many in my community. I count
myself as one of the lucky ones who still has a home & farm to go back to, if only the road
would reopen.
Over the last 7 months I have moved 6 times into temporary housing. The lease on my current
rental is expiring the end of the month. I will be faced with moving again. How I wish it was
to be moving home!
My health has greatly suffered from this stress. I am now on temporary disability& have lost
my job. -
Please help us help ourselves! Build us a temporary road to access our homes until a more
permanent solution is granted.
