Aloha&HAPPY NEW YEAR !
I think you've heard it an abundance of times already,but it bears repeating again...
and again,and again:We need&want,&deserve,access to our homes&properties.
While we remain isolated,the stress and hardship of"life in limbo" increases daily.I also know that many displaced
residents have joined the ranks of the homeless population.
While we remain isolated,looters,squatters&vandals abound,and unchecked elements such as rain and vegetation
growth,continue to degrade what is left of our homes&properties.
While we remain isolated,an abundance of cinder trucks are using circuitous routes thru residential neighborhoods
and already dangerous roads not intended for this kind of traffic.
What we all need first and foremost is a road !!
I trust that this body,and HI government overall,has compassion for us and our circumstances.However,I feel
compelled to say to all of you,that we are needing&hoping for Action,Soon.
We are all requesting the temporary reclamation and use of Hwy 132 until a more permanent reclamation can •
commence. •
