No. 40 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:05 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety, to which was referred Communication No. 40, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 40, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 19, 2018, nominates <br /> Arthur K. Taniguchi to the Liquor Control Adjudication Board. <br /> Mr. Taniguchi stated he has served on three other commissions in the past and is excited and <br /> committed to serve again on this board. He further stated that he takes the role seriously and is <br /> committed to give 100 percent. <br /> Council Members expressed their appreciation to Mr. Taniguchi for stepping up and wishing to <br /> serve on the Liquor Control Adjudication Board and are thankful for his continued involvement <br /> with the County boards and commissions. Chair Villegas stated that Mr. Taniguchi is not <br /> required to appear before the Council for final approval. <br /> The Committee on Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication <br /> No. 40, and recommends confirmation of the nomination of Arthur T.
