RESOLUTION NO. 42 19
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2019 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT THE
PAHALA COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS,the 2019 Summer Fun Program at the Pahala Community Center provides
arts-and-crafts supplies for activities and recreation for low-income, underprivileged youth
during the summer break; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed for the 2019 Summer Fun Program to assist families in
the Ka`u district by providing an affordable opportunity for their children to participate in this
program; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be used to offset the
out-of-pocket cost per child for registration fees,transportation, and/or other activities for
elementary school children; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the 2019 Summer Fun Program at the Pahala Community Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5509.25 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
