SUBJECT: Request for an update on legislative advocacy efforts
Please accept this memorandum as a request for an update from.Andrew Levin,the Mayor's designated
advocate at the Hawai`i State Legislature this session.We hope to understand any progress made on bills
the County has put forward(GET flexibility and lava recovery package)as well as be made aware of
efforts to advance legislation beneficial to our island.
We request this item be placed on the Governmental Relations and Economic Development Committee
agenda for February 4,2019.We would appreciate a presentation of approximately 10 minutes in
duration and anticipate 20 minutes of discussion thereafter.
