Bill 19 increases the General Excise and Use Tax Surcharge from one-quarter percent (0.25%) to one-half percent (0.5%), with the increase to be applied beginning January 1, 2020, and also amends the automatic date of repeal from December 31, 2020, to December 31, 2030.
