Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Heather Kimball of Council District 1 to the Board of
Appeals. Ms. Kimball is a business owner, a scientist, a teacher, a leader, and a
licensed private pilot.
She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Tropical
Conservation Biology from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo.
Ms. Kimball volunteers her time to many community projects and organizations
including the Sierra Club, Kamehameha Canoe Club, Zonta International and more.
She is also the co-founder of Take Back Lincoln Park and Make Voting Matter in
Hawai'i.
Ms. Kimball has resided in Hawai'i for the past 15 years and is a member of the
Democratic party. If confirmed, she may serve a 5 year term to end December 31,
2023.
