VO h+, COUNTY OF HAWAII - `• STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. So 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ZONTA CLUB OF HILO FOUNDATION TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS "MAGNIFICENT ME" CONFERENCE. WHEREAS, the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation (ZCHF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women and girls through public service and advocacy; and WHEREAS, ZCHF is hosting "Magnificent Me," a free conference for 120 seventh - grade girls from Honoka` a, Hilo, Puna, and Ka`ii on March 29, 2019, at the University of Hawaii at Hilo campus; and WHEREAS, the conference will feature prominent professional women across many industries who will conduct a series of workshops to mentor and inspire young girls to achieve their goals; and WHEREAS, ZCHF is requesting financial assistance to defray the cost of transportation, lunch, snacks, supplies, and materials related to this event; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports equality for women and girls and encourages them to become leaders in their communities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation to assist with expenses relating to its "Magnificient Me" conference. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
