COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ <br />OF 14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />84 19 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2019 ANNUAL OUTSTANDING OLDER <br />AMERICANS LUNCHEON. <br />WHEREAS, May is recognized as Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate and <br />honor the contributions that seniors have made and continue to make in our commnity and our <br />nation; and <br />WHEREAS, Older Americans Month occurs annually and dates back to 1963 when <br />President John F. Kennedy, through a proclamation, designated May as Senior Citizens Month, <br />which was later renamed Older Americans Month; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of Aging is requesting funds to assist with expenses associated <br />with hosting this year's Outstanding Older Americans Luncheon for honored seniors; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Office of Aging to <br />assist with expenses associated with the 2019 Annual Outstanding Older Americans Luncheon <br />on May 3, 2019. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.411.5411.02 Office of Aging $2,000 <br />Office of Aging OCE <br />341 Mise.
