SUBJECT: Request for Referral
Attached for your favorable review and consideration is a proposed bill pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25
of the Hawaii County Code relating to grants to nonprofit organizations. Please be aware that I will be
recommending that Bill 72, an earlier version of this bill, be filed by the Council. The new bill eliminates
areas that prompted some objections by nonprofit providers in the community.
Please have the attached bill numbered and referred to the Finance Committee for appropriate action.
