WHEREAS, MR. USAKU MORIHARA, who is 90 years and a
resident of Kealia, South Kona, has been recognized for his
many years of unselfish and outstanding community service;
and
WHEREAS, since his arrival in Kona from Yamaguchi Ken,
Japan in 1907, MR. USAKU MORIHARA has led a fruitfully long
life of service in the country of his adoption; and
WHEREAS, MR. USAKU MORIHARA has been awarded the SACRED
TREASURE, FIFTH CLASS, by the Japanese government in November,
1974 ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that its sincere congratulations be extended
to MR. USAKU MORIHARA and his entire family on this happy
occasion in whichhe received the SACRED TREASURE, FIFTH CLASS
AWARD.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of
this resolution to MR. USAKU MORIHARA, and to extend to him
the County's sincere congratulations.
