Resolution No. 365
WHEREAS, the Associated Students of the University of
Hawaii at Hilo College will present Symposium '75 , the "Use
and Misuse of Our Land, Energy, and Natural Resources" ; and
WHEREAS, the Symposium will be divided into two parts ,
the first part being scheduled for March 31 through April 4 ,
1975, and the second part will be scheduled for the month of
April, following the first part; and
WHEREAS , the discussions for the first part will center
around the County and State of Hawaii , with added input
provided by the national figures and local resource people
who influence or have influenced our State; and
WHEREAS , the second part of this Symposium will focus
on the problems and alternatives facing our State in relation
to the rest of the nation; and
WHEREAS , a representative from a foreign country will
also be invited to convey the international perspective on the
problems which affect us as a world today,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it takes this means to express its
wholehearted support of Symposium '75 , the "Use and Misuse of
Our Land, Energy, and Natural Resources" and to urge all our
citizenry to attend and actively participate in Symposium '75 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its mahalo and appreciation to the
University of Hawaii Hilo College and the Associated Students
at the University for promoting Symposium '75 .

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of
this resolution to the University of Hawaii Hilo College and
the Associated Students of the University of Hawaii Hilo College.
