Resolution
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development has declared that a unit of local government,
such as the County of Hawaii, hereinafter referred to as the
"County, " is eligible to apply for the Secretary 's Discretionary
Grant funds of the Community Development Block Grant program
under the Federal Housing and Community Development Act of
1974 ; and
WHEREAS, the Federal application requires certain
assurances and certifications from the County for such
Grants, as contained in Form HUD-7015 .12 (12-74) ; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to file an application for
Discretionary Grant funds in full accord with the Federal
requirements contained in Federal Register, Part II , Vol. 40 ,
Number 27 , dated February 7 , 1975 ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the U.S . Department of Housing and
Urban Development is hereby assured of full and complete
compliance by the County with the assurances and certification
requirements contained in Form HUD-7015 .12 (12-74) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of
Hawaii is hereby authorized to execute an application for a
Discretionary Grant in the amount of $100 ,000 and to file such
application with the U.S . Department of Housing and Urban
Development, to provide such additional information as may be
required, and to act as the authorized representative of the
County.
