WHEREAS, MRS., LILY ALICUBITN, who is sixty-six years
old and is a resident of Papaikou, has unselfishly and graciously
devoted her time and energy in many enriching, rewarding and
meaningful civic activities and events; anel
WHERFAS, MPS . LILY ALICUBEN, who arrived, in awaii from
the Philippines at the age of 11 months , was a substitute
teacher for many years and is currently an active member of
the Hawaii County Committee on Aging, the Retired senior
Volunteer Program, Hilo Coast. United Church of Christ,
Papaikou Senior Citizens Club, and ILWU Pensioners Club; and
VOIEREAS , MRS . LILY ALICUBEN, a lady who is known for her
valuable services in schools , special education center , and
senior citizen centers , helps coordinate the activities of
the Papaikou Senior volunteers at Filo Hospital , Hale Oluea
Counseling Center, Hilo Care Center and also works with the
Heart Association; and

as one of the two Outstanding ' ] der 711ericans of Hawaii County
for 1975 ,
NOW, TPFPEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OP HAWAII that it does hereby congratulate and commend MRS. LILY
kLICUSEN for being selectee; as an 'Outstanding Older American
of Hawaii County for 1975.
