_Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Benjamin Agdeppa of Council District 8 to the
Transportation Commission. Mr. Agdeppa currently works as a Sales Representative
and Merchandiser for K&K Distributions in Kailua-Kona and the owner of Benjamin
Agdeppa Photography.
Mr. Agdeppa is a graduate of Konawaena High School and Hawai'i Community College
where he received a Certificate of Achievement in Hospitality and Tourism.
Mr. Agdeppa is active in his community and dedicates many hours as a volunteer with
St. Michael's Catholic Church, Special Olympics, Aloha Council-Boys Scouts of
America, Ironman Triatholon, and more.
Mr. Agdeppa states that he is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, he will
serve a five-year term to end December 21, 2023.
Additionally, I respectfully request that Mr. Agdeppa's nomination be waived past
Committee hearing and be heard directly to full Council as the Transportation
Commission has not been able to conduct business for several months for lack of
quorum. Should you have any questions, please contact me at your earliest
convenience. Your review and favorable confirmation is requested.

RE: Communication No. 177 : Nomination of Benjamin Agdeppa to the Transportation
Commission.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit to the full Council for immediate
action. In reviewing this matter,timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that
approval is granted and the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However,
in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred
to the Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit for placement on its future agenda.
