It is my pleasure to nominate John Bertsch of Council District 8 to the Police
Commission. Mr. Bertsch is a self-employed Consultant.
Mr. Bertsch firmly believes in continually giving back to his community. He has served
as Volunteer Fire Fighter for the past 24 years and holds the title of Rank Commander.
He previously served in both the Police and Fire Commissions.
Mr. Bertsch holds a BA in Communications/Public Relations from the University of
Nevada Las Vegas. He states he is not a member of any political party. If confirmed,
he will serve a vacant term that expires December 31, 2020.
