' ®� 19 <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING THREE (3) NEW TEMPORARY POSITIONS <br /> FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii was awarded funding from the Federal <br /> Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide long-term case management <br /> services to the survivors of the recent Kilauea eruptions by implementing FEMA's <br /> Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP); and <br /> WHEREAS, the creation of three (3) new, temporary positions are needed to <br /> implement the DCMP; and <br /> WHEREAS, the three (3) positions indicated above are Program Manager <br /> (Temp), Accountant II (Temp) and Clerk III (Temp); and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai`i County Charter states that <br /> the Mayor has the power to "Create positions...for which appropriations have been <br /> made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that one <br /> (1) Program Manager (Temp), one (1) Accountant II (Temp) and one (1) Clerk III <br /> (Temp) position be created in the Hawaii County Planning Department. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED funds are available through FEMA's DCMP Grant <br /> to implement their program. <br /> 1 <br />
