Resolution •
WHEREAS , Section 10-11 of the Charter requires that
any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment
of funds from appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved
by resolution; and
WHEREAS, more favorable terms are available in a five-
year lease of phones for the Public Safety Building from
the Hawaiian Telephone Company, and it would be to the
advantage of the County to accept the extended lease plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that a five-year lease plan to rent telephones
for centrex service from Hawaiian Telephone Company be approved
and that necessary funds be provided in the following fiscal
years to cover the obligation of the County under this lease
agreement to be entered into by the Mayor 's Office.
