Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 2 of Ordinance No. 69 provides that the
County Council may by resolution approve by a majority of its
members, dispose of real property; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Land and Natural Resources approved on
March 21 , 1975, issuance of an executive order placing the State
parcel (TMK-2-1-14-22) under the management and jurisdiction of
the County of Hawaii , Department of Parks and Recreation, for
addition to Onekahakaha Beach Park;
WHEREAS, an old dwelling situated on the premises is
surplus and must be removed prior to commencement of work on
improvement of the parks;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That:
1. In accordance with the Provision of Ordinance No. 69,
the Director of Finance be authorized to dispose of the following
building only by public auction:
a. The cottage on the land owned by Board of Land and
Natural Resources, transferred to the County of
Hawaii by issue of executive order, situated
adjacent to Onekahakaha Beach Park, Hilo, Hawaii ,
TMK-2-1-14-22.
2. The Director of Finance to determine the date, place and
reasonable terms and conditions of the auction;
3. If no acceptable bids are received, that the building
be demolished and removed expeditiously.
